In the vast plot, many must-see places are ready to welcome you, including a former residence of Shibusawa, which has been registered as one of the Tangible Cultural Properties, and Nanbu Magariya (an L-shaped house with a stable block attached) characteristic of a horse breeding area.

This is the old personal family residence of Eiichi Shibusawa, who led Japan’s economic industry from the Meiji to Showa periods and was known as the father of modern Japanese economics. The building is made precious with its famous Meiji era Japanese-style construction contrasted with western-style additions. Enjoy the scene created by this retro-modern space.
Right around the front entrance is a spacious area that moves with time at a leisurely pace. Won’t you enjoy some relaxation as you soak your feet in hot spring water drawn directly from its source? You might also be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the small animals that quietly appear among the rows of Japanese red pine trees.
In ages past, the southern regions, known across the country as a distinguished horse breeding ground, had these unique buildings, which combined living quarters with stables. Enjoy some time in this nostalgic space by having breakfast sitting around the hearth fire places unique to these old-style homes, by experiencing creating Aomori style crafts, enjoyable for children and adults alike, and more.
At Komaki Farm, found within the grounds of a spacious park, you can enjoy picking seasonable vegetables grown here. We have to recommend trying vegetables picked fresh in the morning, as they are the most delicious. Please take in the perfectly clear air of Aomori, its delicious water, and the summer vegetable dishes made with love by our Aomoriya staff.
There are two horses here in this region that was once a horse breeding region in days past. You can enjoy contact with the horses in this ranch, located within the park, or a ride around the park in a horse carriage dressed to match the season. The kind faces of the horses, and the sound of their hooves as they walk, will soothe your spirit.
"Yawatauma Lounge" is situated beside the pond of the huge park. The lounge, and old Japanese folk house with thatched roofs, has calm and relaxing atmosphere and its interior is designed with Aomori's tradtional craft called "Yawatauma". At night, you can also enjoy illumination.
